Mike Pompeo, US Secretary of State, shared information on Iranian threats with NATO officials, said Brian Hook, US Special Envoy of the US Department of State, in Washington.
Hook told reporters that the American diplomat headed for a trip to Sochi stopped in Brussels and held an exchange of views with officials from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
The Special Envoy for Iranian Affairs stated that Pompeo’s visit to Brussels was timely because “Iran is further widening its threats”. Hook said, “The Foreign Minister shared detailed background information with NATO officials.” “We think Iran should negotiate instead of threatening, but unfortunately they focus their attention on threats,” Brian Hook said.
The diplomat did not say with whom Mike Pompeo talked about this in Brussels.
