A raging man attacked a police officer in London with a brush cutter. Authorities said Thursday that the police were seriously injured but are not in danger.
A policeman and his colleague wanted to inspect a van in the east of the British capital, but the driver was angry and attacked them. The police succeeded in shocking the man in his fifties, while suffering at least seven stabbings.
Authorities ruled out terrorism in connection with the incident on Thursday.
Home Secretary Priti Patel expressed her deep dismay at the attack, as did London mayor Sadiq Khan, who praised the police for his bravery in trying to dispose of his attacker at all costs.
