China reduced its US government securities portfolio in March after increasing it in the previous three months.

According to data from the US Treasury Department, China held $ 1,205 billion US government debt in March, down $ 10.4 billion on February.
China has long been the largest creditor in the United States.
Japan’s second-highest investment in the list rose $ 5.7 billion to $ 1,078.1 billion compared to February.
Britain’s third-largest owner of US government securities was $ 317.1 billion, followed by Brazil ($ 311.7 billion), followed by Ireland ($ 277.6 billion).
The ten largest owners are also Luxembourg, Switzerland, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong and Belgium.
According to the Treasury’s report, total US Treasury bills in March were $ 6,473.3 billion. This is $ 88.2 billion more than in February and exceeds $ 250 billion a year earlier.
