The budget constraints and the inability of the Navy commanders caused the tragedy of the San Juan submarine in 2017, a parliamentary committee investigating the matter, said MTI.

In a report published on Thursday, the panel ruled out the assumption that a ship had collided with San Juan or had been attacked.

On 15 November 2017, the submarine disappeared from the military in the south of the Atlantic back to its station at Mar del Plata, and it took almost a year to find a wreck at 800 meters. In the accident, 44 staff were killed.
