Wind storm swept through Monday in the northern part of Croatia: strong winds chose trees, torn roofs, causing disruptions in transport, among others in Zagreb and its surroundings. About two hundred people were reported to be injured by the stormy wind.
Due to the powerful wind gusts, certain sections of the Zagreb-Split motorway and the Sveti Rok tunnel were closed, and on the other side of the highway a speed limit was set for wind gusts of over one hundred kilometers / hour.
Buses and trams in Zagreb are either delayed or departing.
The firefighters worked at night in twenty-forty places to deal with the damage.
According to the meteorological service, strong winds do not weaken during the day, and in some parts of the country are combined with rain and snow. The highest levels of red alarms have been issued in mountain areas, with orange alarms in the rest of the country.
