BMW CEO leaves

He does not ask for an extension of his mandate and will leave his post at the end of April 2020 by Harald Krüger, president and chief executive officer of BMW’s German car manufacturer, announced the Bavarian concern on Friday in Munich.

Krüger has been leading the company since May 2015, and its successor decides on July 18th, “BMW said. According to Bloomberg, the 53-year-old Krüger had been in a cross-fire for some time because of the decline in profits and because he had too much plans for turning the car manufacturer into electromobility compared to the rapid changes in the industry. In May, several members of the board of directors questioned whether Krüger was really the right person to run the company.
