A few days ago, the Knife Angel arrived in the city of England to commemorate the victims of delayed crime.
The statue was made of stabbing and cutting tools seized and collected by the police. The eight-meter-long piece is Alfie Bradley’s work for an anti-violence campaign at the British Ironwork Center. It took Bradley four years to build the statue and, of course, disinfected all knives and other tools and made sure their edges were blunt enough.
The Knife Angel was not exhibited in Middlesbrough for the first time, from December 2018 to January 2019 in Liverpool, but also to Coventry and Birmingham.
