Tokyo 2020 – The female volleyball player will be later than the man

Unlike usual, not the man but the women’s volleyball final will be the final day of the upcoming Tokyo Olympics next summer to strengthen gender equality.

According to a joint announcement by the International Volleyball Association (FIVB) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), this will be the first time in the five-legged history of the sport that the women’s golden battle will take place later than men.
The parties also agreed that the 2024 Paris Games would again be the men’s final, while in 2028, in Los Angeles, the finals of women would be held again on the closing day.
The Tokyo Olympics – the volleyball of which will be fought at the 15,000-seat Ariake Arena – will be held from 24 July to 9 August 2020.
